Navy 8 Months - Catch Up!

Navy Turned 8 Months on Christmas Eve! I keep saying "this is the funnest age" and it keeps getting better and better! Some things that she did this last month:

-Had her first Christmas
-Enjoyed 3 friends First Birthday Parties
-Played with her cousins a lot
-Loves her cousin Makenna
-Went to Prescott for New Years Eve and stayed up til 11:30 partying
-Had her first time being sick and throwing up (it was so sad but I did love all the snuggles)
-Got her third tooth and the fourth one is coming too (the upper teeth have been a lot harder on all of us)
-Loves avocados and beans
-Wants REAL food now, we have to order something she can eat too when we go out
-Still loves shopping with Mom
-Went to the zoo with friends
-Thinks she is SOOO Big
-Came and watched Mom and Dad play softball
-Still squeals a lot
-Throws little temper tantrums when she doesn't wanna take a nap
-Still has mom and dad wrapped around her finger
-We have caught her standing on her own a few times
-Crawls super fast
-Walks on the furniture
-LOVES to dance

Christmas!

Christmas was so much fun this year! Not only did we have our first Christmas in our own home but it was Navy's first Christmas too! I know she is young and doesn't understand it all yet, but it was still so much fun with her! I was so excited to decorate the house and tree. I left it up for over a month because I loved the way it looked. My mom helped me make some super cute stockings, that I love and I hit up the after Christmas sales last year to get some good decor!

We were able to do lots of fun things during the Christmas season like go to Bass Pro Shop (we didn't get to see Santa, but still took some pictures in the "snow"), and also went to Temple Lights on Christmas Eve with some of the Draughon Family. It was also fun to take treats around to our friends and neighbors!

On Christmas Day I of course was a giddy 7 year old and up at 7 AM! Mike and Navy slept in until 8! Navy was so happy and when we went downstairs she crawled right to her little Piano Santa brought her. It was the cutest! She liked her presents but liked eating the tissue paper more! After our small little Christmas we got ready and went to Mike's parents ward with some of his siblings. Then after church we went back to his parents house and hungout the rest of the day! It was an enjoyable relaxing day! Navy was such a happy girl and that made it even more special!

Today is one of those days, that I need a break! I HATE teething! For some reason the top teeth have been a lot harder on Navy than her bottom ones were. My almost always happy baby that dances and has a smile on her face at all times has turned into someone I don't know. She has decided to forgo naps even though she is extremely tired and thinks that whining is necessary all day! Don't get me wrong I love this little one to death and I wouldn't trade anything to be her mother and feel blessed to be able to bring her to work with me. But we need a small break from each other and I need to be able to work. To get me through this fun time I have some fun pictures to post of my Happy Girl!

Thanksgiving Catch Up

We had an Amazing Thanksgiving this year! When we first got married I told Mike that I would not split the days up between our families for the holidays. It just makes the day too stressful and you can't just relax, so we spend one holiday i.e. Thanksgiving with one family and then Christmas with the other. It has worked out pretty good for the most part.
Anyway, this year we were having Thanksgiving with my family! Mike's brother from Georgia came for Thanksgiving this year so we went over and spent Wed. with them and then went over to his mom's early Thanksgiving morning and hungout with them til about noon. We then went over to my mom's and had a very small Thanksgiving that included my parents and my brother Cody and his family. We then went out to my brother Tyson's house that evening for pie. They had my sister n law's family in town at their house. It was an exhausting day, but I'm grateful we were able to see everyone. We had so much to be thankful for this year! I always love the holiday season because it puts me in the best mood and helps me reflect on all the good in my life! I didn't take very many pictures. Mostly just of Mike's family because it was the first time they met Navy!

Drew was so exhausted from playing with all the cousins for 3 days straight, he fell asleep at the counter. So cute!

Navy at 7 Months:

-Pulls up on EVERYTHING
-Loves the garbage can
-Puts everything in her mouth
-Teething but no upper teeth yet, for some reason the upper teeth have been a lot harder on all of us. I wish they would just come in
-Loves shopping, Just like her Mama
-Climbs the stairs at the house
-Loves the Swings at the Park
-Had her first Thanksgiving
-Met her Uncle Dave, Aunt Bonnie, and their kids for the first time (they live in Georgia)
-Still has the cutest smile
-Very DRAMATIC
-Still hasn't outgrown the spitting up stage and got Mom really good

Family Pictures- Catch Up

Back in November we were able to take some family pictures. I always love getting Christmas cards during the holidays and was so excited to be able to send out our own this year. We had them professionally taken but unfortunately after getting them back I didn't love them. She did a great job, I just didn't love the clothes we were wearing and Navy was super tired so we didn't get the best of pictures. The ones of just Navy turned out cute. So a few weeks after I had my sister in law take a few of our little family and I absolutely love them! They definitely show Navy's personality!

Navy 6 Months- Catch Up

Navy's 6 Month Stats:

Weight: 15lbs 9oz. Height: 27in

Navy is quite the busy body! She has mastered crawling and does it the real way! (Not on her hands and feet, or scooting) She is quite the little talker and has said Momma and Dada. I know that she doesn't know what they mean and it's mostly just mumbling, but it sure makes us melt when she says it! She has started to try and pull up on things, but hasn't quite mastered it yet. Navy has a very prominent squeal that is very loud. (Hoping that doesn't last very long, my mom said I was the same way and good luck to getting her stop doing it!) She has started throwing little temper tantrums, that I can't help but laugh at right now. Anywhere we go we get stopped multiple times from people saying How Cute she is. She has the best little scrunched nose smile! She now recognizes people and loves Grandpa Smith! We celebrated her First Halloween and dressed her up as a Monkey. Mike was a banana and I was also a Monkey! She looked so stinkin' cute in her outfit! (That I made :)) She also had her first encounter with Santa. She wasn't scared at all, she actually pulled his beard, that was real, really hard. Whoops! haha. Navy has also had lots of playdates with friends, Josie, Asher, and Lucy and lot's of fun with her cousins!

We also celebrated my 25th Birthday this month! We went to "The Keg" for dinner and then went and saw a movie! It was a perfect birthday with my little family!

One of my New Year's goals is to catch up on my blogging! I am a bad journal writer and would much rather look at pictures , so I decided I would do it all through my blog. Also Navy is pretty much the only exciting thing going on in our lives, so it will mostly be about her!

Navy at 5 Months Old!

-Got her first 2 teeth within a few days of each other
-Started scooting all over the place
-Can sit up on her own
-Went to Disneyland for the first time! She loved "It's a Small World" and "Toy Story Mania" she was so happy the whole entire day and would sleep so well in the stroller.
-She loves playing outside
-Ended up being Twins with her friend Josie numerous times, on accident
-Went to the zoo for the first time with friends
-First pony ride
-First Diamondbacks Game
-Ate Green beans for the first time
-Master at Funny Faces
-Very Smiley

Navy you are such a joy in our life. You are the happiest baby and always have a smile on your face! You make your dad and I laugh so hard! We love you!

4 Months!

I can't believe Navy is 4 months already! We took her to the doctor today to get her shots and she was a champ! She cries for 5 seconds and then takes a great nap afterwards. I can't tell you how much Mike and I adore this little girl!

Her 4 month stats:

WEIGHT: 14LBS. HEIGHT: 25.5IN. HEAD:15.75

FUN FACTS:
- started rolling from her back to tummy at 3 months (she now rolls everywhere)
- she wants to stand all the time
- she sleeps 10-12 hours a night
- she laughs and talk to us all the time
- constantly smiling
- happiest baby
- has her parents wrapped around her finger
- Mike and I race to get her in the morning so we can snuggle with her
- has her dad talking baby talk to her
- loves to snuggle her blankie

- eats every 4 hours
- still takes 3-4 great naps during the day
- loves watching TV

- loves the attention she get from all her cousins (they all love her)

- Loves when I sing to her and she rests her head on my shoulder
- Navy will probably be crawling sooner than we would like
- Loves sucking on her hands or anything
- Loves napping with daddy

- was an angel at the beach for her first time and slept the entire time

A Name and A Blessing!

We blessed Navy on Sunday June 5th. It was such a sweet blessing and Mike did so well. I am so proud of him! Navy was perfect during the whole thing, she was wide awake and didn't make a peep. As soon as they sat down she spit up everywhere! :) I tried to write it down, but as soon as Mike started I couldn't fight back the tears, the spirit was so strong. I'm so grateful for Mike and that he holds the priesthood. It is such a wonderful blessing. We then had lunch at my brother's house following the blessing. I only got a few pictures, but Navy looked to cute in her white dress!

One Month!

I can't believe my baby girl is already a month old. Time is flying by! We have had so much fun this last month, since I wasn't working! We went up to Prescott for a day to visit my sister and go to my nephews baseball games, we went to the movies, and played lots with the cousins! I have now started back to work at the office, but get to bring her with me!

Here are some fun facts about Navy:

-At Navy's 2 week check up she was 22 in. and weighed 8lbs. 15 oz. She gained 13 oz from her 1 week to 2 week check up! We don't go again til she is 2 months, but I know she is a lot bigger already!

-She eats and eats and eats!

-She now sleeps from 9pm to 2 am, eats and then go back to bed til 6:30!

-She rolled from her tummy to back at 3 weeks!

-Has her mommy and daddy wrapped around her finger!

-We put her in her own room in her crib at 3 and a half weeks.

-We put her in the miracle blanket and she sounds like the Hulk trying to get out of it, some days she has gotten out of it.

-She is a strong little girl and holds her head up really well.

-We like to play dress up!

-She loves taking showers, just like her momma! She tilts her head back into the water and closes her eyes and relaxes!

-While you hold her she always puts her head back to see everything behind her! She will look at everything but you.

We just love this little girl!

Story:
I went in early Sunday morning at 12:30AM to be induced. They started the cervidil at 1:50, this had to be in for 12 hours before they could start the pitocin. At this point I was only dilated to a 1. They gave me some ambien so that I could get some sleep during the 12 hours. It was so nice, I don't remember much. They had told me that normally the cervidil doesn't make you dilate it just ripens the cervix and then they put you on pitocin to help you dilate. After I woke up we just hungout in the room and ate. The nurse came in about noon and said to order lunch, she said they would be taking the cervidil out at 1:50 and would start the pitocin at 2:50 and after they would start that I would have to be in bed. She told me that I could take a shower and walk around during that hour. if you know me you know I love showers so I was going to definitely take her up on that offer. I told Mike he could go home and shower and pick up some things during that hour because my mom and Dani had come to hangout so they were there. Once she came in to take the cervidil out she checked me and I had dilated to a 3. I then went and took a shower. As I was in the shower I started having contractions really bad, I had to hold on to the railing in the shower cuz I wanted to collapse. Both Dani and my mom came in to check on me to make sure I was ok, cuz I was moaning so bad. I finally sat down on the stool and just let the water run on me. A few minutes later I felt a huge gush of water that I thought either I just peed my pants or my water broke. I told my mom and she went and got the nurse. The nurse told me to get out of the shower and she would check me. My water had definitely broken and she said I was dilated to a 5. I then asked if I could get my epidural. During this time Dani had called Mike and told him to get back to the hospital cuz things were progressing and I wanted him there when I got my epidural. Within the next half hour I had gotten the epidural and was feeling GREAT!! This was all between 3-3:30 PM. They didn't end up starting the pitocin since I was progressing on my own. I was having a lot of back pain and so they had me put a peanut ball between my legs because they said she was facing the wrong way and this would turn her and speed things up. Well they were right, at about 5 PM I told the nurse I was feeling a lot of pressure in my bum and so she checked me and I was an 7. About every 15 min after that I told her I was having more pressure and each time I was dilated more. My sister was coming down from Prescott so I called her and told her to hurry up cuz this baby girl was going to be here soon, she said she was about 20 min away so to hold her in. At 6:05 I started pushing and then the nurse had to hold her head in cuz we had to wait for the Doctor. Once the Dr. got there I pushed once and baby Navy was here!

My labor was so nice and fast, I couldn't have asked for it to be better. It was the hardest most rewarding thing I have ever done. Mike and I were in heaven the minute we saw her. She was beautiful, chunky, and had hair! These last 3 weeks have been amazing! I love being a mom and would do anything for this sweet baby girl.

2 Weeks!

Well the end is near! I have been trying everything I can possibly do to make this little girl come early,unfortunately nothing has worked. Going into my weekly appointment this last Monday I was all ready to beg the doctor to strip my membranes or induce me, but a few hours before my appt. I was talking to a friend of mine that goes to the same doctor as me and she said he was going out of town this weekend. I was sooooo bummed thinking I would have to wait until my actual due date to meet this baby girl! If you know me I'm very impatient, so add a bunch of swelling and sleepless nights to that and I definately have no patience. So 3:10 rolls around on Monday I go to my appt and they check my blood pressure and it's kinda high so they tell me they will check again at the end. Doctor checks me everythings looking good not really dilated but 70% effaced, he checks my blood pressure again and its back to normal. He then says because your blood pressure has been bouncing around and your swelling keeps getting worse I think we need to induce you! Did I hear him right? I was beyond excited! He told me he was going out of town on the 20-21 but has an opening on Sat the 23 at 8pm. I told him I will be there with a smile on my face! So it looks like our little Navy will be an Easter baby! I'm so excited to finally meet her and to be able to feel my legs and feet again! I was going to take a picture to show you all how bad my swollen legs and feet are but I don't wanna scare you too bad, so here is my 38 week belly shot. You can see the swelling in my face so times that by 100 and thats what my legs and feet look like! :)

Dani, Page, and Kari threw me an amzing baby shower a couple weeks ago. We had such a great turnout and it was so fun to see so many friends! Navy definitely got spoiled! She will be the cutest girl in town! The food was AMAZING as always, People are still talking to me about the cake. I'm so thankful to have so many wonderful people in my life.

Today I started my weekly appointments with the doctor. Everything is looking good. No progression yet but hopefully soon. I have 3 1/2 weeks til my due date. Doc said Navy is measuring 7.5 lbs already. I may get a chunky baby afterall, which I am totally ok with! She was so cute in her 3D ultra sound. I'm so excited to meet her!

The house is coming along great we should move in this weekend! They are putting the carpet in tomorrow and after that all we gotta do is clean and move in! So excited! Everything is looking so good and I'm excited to show the before and after photos!

Officially a Home Owner!

You read that right! Mike and I are now officially home owners! After almost 2 years living with my wonderful in-laws we bought our first home (just in the knick of time)! We have been looking for awhile and had a few different offers on homes and this one kinda fell into our lap. We are so excited to have a home to bring our sweet baby girl home to. I have 6 weeks left and we got a lot of work to do on the house to have it ready. We are painting and putting in new carpet throughout the whole house. So these last 6 weeks are going to fly by since we will be so busy! I can't believe I only have 6 weeks left! I'm so excited to meet this little girl! She is so active already, so I know she will keep me on my toes!

Update!!

Well thigs have been really busy and crazy the last few months. I have been busy working and then babysitting my brothers kids quite a bit. It's been fun and exhausting to play "mom" for a few days. Mike has been extremely busy working pretty much all over the state. We are so grateful for his job.
The pregnancy is going great! I have about 9 weeks left, and that just seems crazy to me! It has seriously flown by and I know these last few weeks will fly by even faster. We just found out last week ,on the 17, that our offer has been excepted on the house we have been waiting for! :) Perfect timing! I was starting to get a little worried cuz we are getting down to crunch time. We will be moving to Lyons Gate on Higley and Ray and should be able to close middle of March. We wanna paint and put new carpet in before we move in so we will be very busy getting that all done before our little girl gets here! We are so grateful for all these blessings that have come our way the last few months. I have been bad about taking pictures, but have a few of my baby bump.

26 weeks! This was at my sister n law Karen's baby shower! It was fun to be pregnant and the same time! She had her little girl about 2 weeks ago. It will be So fun to have girl cousins just a few months apart!

Alpine Cabin Christmas!

We were with the Smith Family for Christmas this year. My mom has decided instead of doing presents, she wants to make a memory, so what better way then to head up to Alpine and play in the snow and have an old fashioned Christmas! The plan was for everyone to go to Sunrise and ski/board for 2 of the days, but of course the one time it's not open before Christmas had to be this year. We ended up having a great time still. The weather was perfect! We were able to find a good hill to go sledding on, the cousins enjoyed playing with eachother, we chopped down our own tree and strung cranberries and popcorn on thread and a red and green paper chain to decorate the tree. It was fun to do something different.

It's always great to spend time with the ones we love during Christmas. For New Years Eve we went over to Courts parents house and played a bunch of games like, Just Dance 2 and others. It was a good time as always. I was too busy dancing to take any pictures.

2010 was a pretty good year to us and We are even more excited to see what 2011 will bring! Hopefully a house! ;) and a healthy baby girl! :)

Favorite Things Pregnancy Edition!

These are some of the things that are helping get through my pregnancy right now:

Sonic Route 44 Ice Water with Extra Ice- This is probably my life savor right now. I don't drink enough water unless I have one of these. Not enough water = bad headaches = really mean Angie! Something about cups without lids or straws at work makes me not drink enough water and then I end up getting a Dr. Pepper. :( I have had a hard time giving my DP up.

Snoogle- I always laughed so hard in movies when men always said they hated these pillows so much! Now I understand why. I can't sleep without it and its a barrier around me. DON'T GET CLOSE! haha If you are pregnant and don't have one, go out and get it NOW!!

Pandora- This doesn't really have to do with Pregnancy, but I absolutely love it! Love the Christmas music on it. Sorry I can't handle 99.9 and the 10 same songs they play over and over. I can play Christmas music all day at work and never get sick of it!

My Cell Phone- I don't ever turn on my radio anymore cuz I play Pandora through my phone when I'm driving around. Also it's a great day planner for writing things down. I seriously have no memory anymore, so if I don't write it down or put it in my phone there is no way I will remember it.

Activia- This might be TMI but boy does this stuff work. As I have found out through reading it's pretty common in pregnancy to not be "regular". Being that I was not "regular" before I was pregnant it has been worse since I have been. This stuff works like a champ and actually tastes pretty good too!

Toms- These shoes are the only shoes that don't hurt my feet right now. I want them in every color. I seriously love them.

And Last but Not Least:

Maternity Cloths- Being that I'm so short and have no torso, I have gotten big FAST. I think I bought my first pair of maternity pants at 13 weeks. I felt so dumb when people asked how far along I was cuz I shouldn't be getting maternity pants that soon, but I was so uncomfortable in my normal pants. It's amazing how much more comfortable I am now.

This is last Friday 19 weeks!

Looks like we may be homeless in a few months cuz we are having a GIRL!!! We are so excited. When I asked Mike if he was excited all he could say is, "I can just hear the cash registers ringing". haha He truly is excited and I know he will be wrapped around this little girls finger! With Black Friday a few days after I found out I had to buy some cute clothes. Man is this going to be hard to keep control of. Everything is just so cute when it's so little! We aren't set on a name yet, but still have awhile. I will be 19 weeks on Thurs!

Georgia!

A few weeks back Mike, his sister Julie, her boyfriend Randy, and I went to Georgia to visit Mike's brother Dave and his family who recently moved out there. It was so nice to see them and all the kids. We got to go to Nate's football game, Lindsay's volleyball game and did some shopping and lots of Eating! It was a nice break that we all needed. Georgia is a beautiful place. I love all the houses and everything is so Green. I'll let the pictures tell you more!

**Baby update- I'm am still doing really well. I have definitely popped, so its been a fun change! Sweet little thing thought it would be fun to make me sick on my birthday and that was the first time I threw up. I have only one other time since then and I think it was a little food poisoning so I don't count it! I get to find out in 2 1/2 weeks what this sweet little bean will be! I'm so excited.

SURPRISE!!

Well about a little over 5 weeks ago Mike and I were hit with a huge SURPRISE!! We are having a baby! I couldn't believe it, so I took probably 15 tests throughout the next 2 days to make sure my eyes weren't decieving me. It was a big shock at first, but we are truly really excited! It's also nice that pretty much everyone I know is pregnant too so I can call them when something new is happening to me! It been fun so far! (for me at least) Mike thinks I'm crazy! :) I went to the doctor today for the first time and everything looks great! The baby was waving at me with its little stub arms! Its so crazy to know that I am carrying a baby and after today it really makes it real. Im due the end of April. So far things are going really well no throwing up, just a little bit of nausea and I'm very tired all the time. We are so excited to find out with this little baby will be but will have to wait a few months.

What We Have Been Up To!

Well as summer comes to an end (hopefully this hot weather also) I figured it's time to update what we have been up to this summer!!

Angie:

- Spent a little over a week in California with my sister, her kids, and my mom! It was a much needed vacay and wish I could go back. Mike came for a short weekend!

- Working my tail off at the salon and office.

- We moved the salon to a new location in Dana Park. Love it!! Come see me!!

- Spent lots of time with family!!

- Fun Girls Nights with friends I hadn't seen for awhile.

- Lots of movies!!

- Spending time with the Mr.

Mike:

- took an academy course to get certified in his Firefighter 1 & 2 and graduated. (He is trying to get on the fire department, but due to the crummy economy not very many are hiring right now)

- Spent a weekend in Cali with me and did lots of shopping and laying on the beach!

- Did his intern for school with the Mesa Fire Department!

- Finished his Intern and now is FINISHED with school at ASU FOREVER!! WOO HOO!!(He Will walk in Decemeber)

- Just started working at Damage Control with my brother!

- TURNS 28 TOMORROW!!

Both of Us:

-Exhausted from working so much

- Spending the weekend at a resort in Scottsdale for Mike's Birthday (thanks Cody and Britt)

- Looking for houses

- Mike's oldest brother and his family moved to Georgia and we miss them so much!!

So its been a busy summer, especially for Mike, but we are excited to see what Fall and Winter Bring. Hopefully good weather and a house!! :)

FIRST ANNIVERSARY!!

WE MADE IT!! haha... A couple weekends ago we celebrated our first year being married!! I can't believe it has already been a year! Time sure does fly by. We decided to splurge a little and go out to one of our favorite restaurants The Keg! We only go here for special occasions! We thought it would be fun to go for lunch , but when we got there we realized they didn't open til 4. We decided to go kill time by seeing a movie, so we saw Date Night! It was pretty good, but neither of us really like either of the stars in it. (I know everyone thinks we are weird cuz we don't like the office or other shows they are in.) It was such a fun day especially since we are both so busy all day everyday that we got to spend some time alone! I can't wait to see what new adventures lie ahead of us in the many years to come!! I have the best, most handsome, hard working husband ever!! I love you Mike!

Easter 2010

What a wonderful Easter we had this year! We spent it with my family because it was also my brother Tyson's birthday!! There is nothing better than staying home hanging out with family,watching General Conference, and being reminded of the real reason for the Holiday! I think Easter should always be on this Sunday from now on! We went over to my mom's early that morning for breakfast and to watch the first session of conference! During the break between sessions we took a little drive with all of the fam. Then it was time for the second session. After Conference we had a FANTASTIC dinner and celebrated my brothers birthday! It was such a nice evening that we went out in the backyard and watched all the kiddos run around and play football. A perfect way to spend a Perfect Sunday!!

Ok for those of you that watch Glee, was last nights show AMAZING!! Honestly I had the biggest smile on my face the whole time! I mean I have loved this show from the beginning but last nights episode made me love it even more. Sue Sylvester singing "Vogue" priceless, their rendition of "Like a Virgin" loved it!! I may just have to watch it over and over. If you don't watch Glee then you need to start now!!

Roller Derby!!

A few weekends ago we went with Ty and Dani and some of Mike's friends to the ARIZONA DERBY DAMES Roller Derby! It was at the colliseum in Phoenix. I was pretty excited about it for weeks. If any of you have seen the movie "Whip It" you could see why I was excited!! Well we got there about an hour early and the lines were out of control to get tickets. Finally after spending an hour and 15 min sitting in line and after the derby starting everyone in line rushed the doors and they let us all in. It was kinda ridiculous. All in all I was a little disappointed. I thought there would have been a lot more action. I mean watching a bunch of girls go round and round in a ring can only be fun for a little bit. We were all hoping for some elbows to be thrown or fights to break out. I mean come on who really wants to go watch without something big happening? It was nice to get out a do something different though.

Been Thinking! (This is not a normal post for me)

As I laid in bed last night trying to fall asleep, of course my mind starts to race about the happenings of the day and what needs to be done tomorrow, but I couldn't seem to get the heavy burden feeling out of my chest. Why do I go to bed feeling like this every night? I had just sat down with my sweet husband and read our scriptures and said our couple prayers. I should not be feeling like this.
As I still lay there pondering on why I feel this way I realized that I am upset with myself, no one else. I'm upset that I can't stick to my goals I have set for myself, but mostly I'm upset because I let the negativity of life get to me and take me down. I'm not one that writes well and can paint these beautiful pictures in words and I wish I were able to do that.
I often find myself looking at a sweet friend's blog who has been through a lot these last few months. She is so uplifting even through everything she has been faced with. Although I don't see her and just read through her blog about everything, her words uplift me every day! She can see the good in what some people may think of as bad. If you don't know Alex please read her blog(chellisandalex.blogspot.com), she is a great example to us all. Even though we come across things we may not want to go through we can come out of it being a stronger person. Alex I hope you don't mind me sharing this with people, but you are so uplifting and an example to me I want them to feel the way that I do when I read your words!
So with that being said from now on I am going to focus on the good in my life! Each day I want to focus on one thing I am grateful for!

SO TODAY IM GRATEFUL FOR BLOGS!! It has been so nice and fun to find friends and friends of friends and people I didn't even know through blogs. I love being able to feel connected to all you even though I may not see you very often or even at all. I have to admit I am a blog stalker and I hardly ever leave comments but I do look at lots of people blogs. Each persons lifts me up in a different way!! So thank you all!!

JANUARY

January 10th 2009 Mike asked me to be his for all eternity!! I of course said YES! Great start of a new year!

Feb and March were busy with Wedding Planning.

APRIL

April 18, 2009 I was sealed to my wonderful husband! Best day of my life!! It was such a fun day that ended way to fast!!

MAY

At the end of May I had the opportunity to go to New York for 5 days with 2 other girls from the salon. We were all chosen to go to an Advanced Academy Course and also got to play A LOT!! It was such a fun trip!

JUNE

June we had fun together now that Mike was on Summer Break!

JULY

In July we got to spend the 4th up in Utah with all the Draughons. It was fun to have all of us up there and spend a week together!

I also got to go to the American Idol Concert with Dani! Thanks Dani!

AUGUST

In August we had a new niece born on the Smith side. Kamryn is the cutest little thing!

We also celebrated Mike's 27th Birthday!

SEPTEMBER

In September we started playing on a coed Softball team! It was fun to meet new friends and we have continued to play each season. My brother and his wife also played with us for a season!

OCTOBER

I celebrated my 23rd Birthday at Disneyland! It was a very fun trip with my girl Dani!

We also went to a Halloween Party with a bunch of couples and we dressed up as Stick Figures!

NOVEMBER

November we spent Thanksgiving with the Smith Side and enjoyed a fun time with them! We had so much to be thankful for this year!

DECEMBER

December was a fun filled month full of lots of Family time with both sides! We went and did Polar Express with the Smith's and Zoo Lights with both families. We then celebrated Christmas at the Draughon's. We are so grateful for the wonderful families that we both have and that we are lucky enough to have them both in Mesa!

This last weekend everyone on the Smith side went up to the Polar Express in Williams, AZ. It was so fun to do this all together as a family. The kids faces were to die for when Santa came through the door. The weather was cold but it was fun to get all dressed in warm clothes with sweaters, gloves, beanies, and scarves. There was a ton of snow up there too.

I have to say I work with the funnest girls ever! It is so nice to work in a salon that everyone gets along so well and there is never very much drama. I know that not all salons are this lucky! Every few months we try and get everyone together and do a girls night! Not everyone comes each time but we do get a good turn out. A couple weeks ago we went to Brunswick Zone and did cosmic bowling! We had so much fun!

Love This Time of Year!!

It's finally starting to feel like fall! I'm so happy! There is nothin better than dressing in sweats and snuggling in a blanket! I love it!! Well we have had some fun the last few weeks.

Right before Halloween my mom threw her annual pumpkin carving party! Mike was sick so he wasn't able to come so I jumped in on my brother Cody's families pumpkin. I have to say it turned out pretty much AMAZING! The only credit I can take is cutting the vines off my dads grape vines to use as the legs!! (SHH DONT TELL and also had to use my mom's kitchen knife) Sorry Mom!!

Being that we are in the "Bug Business" this fits pretty well!

The following Friday we were invited to a Couples Halloween Party! Being that we didn't find out til last minute we had to throw a costume together! Although in the light no one could tell what we were, I think it turned out pretty good (if seen in the dark). Can you tell what we are???

The party was really fun and we were close to winning the cash in the money game!! Aw shucks!

These are some of our friends we play softball with. Cory and Scarlett Bendixen as a Devil and Angel and their son Crew and Nick and Jen Steyer as Dog the Bounty Hunter and his wife. They ended up winning best costume!

A few weeks later we attended the Annual Arizona State Fair!! It had been quite a few years since I had been so I was very excited! We went with some of Mike's good friends and got to see the Demolition Derby! You can't go to the fair without getting the Indian Fry Bread a Huge Pickle and a ride on the Ferris Wheel! All in all it was a fun night with fun friends!!

For my birthday this year Dani and I and Aunt Page took a quick trip to Cali. We left Sunday morning and came back Monday night. The reason we went was because on your birthday you can get in free to Disneyland. So I couldn't miss the opportunity! What better way to spend your birthday than at the Happiest Place on Earth? I love Disneyland and the little kid in me comes out every time we go!! Sadly Page's husband had an unexpected trip to the hospital and had to get his appendix out, so she flew home Sunday night to be with him. Dani and I had a blast at Disneyland on Monday and actually hit all the rides quite a few times and were still ok to leave at 5:30. The weather was perfect and the day couldn't have been any better!! Thanks for coming with me Dani!

Ok now I feel a little bit better! Phew! So I was sitting at work thinking about what all I need to get done today and all I could think about was getting caught up on my shows I have missed this week and what shows are on tonight. Wow, I'm pathetic! So I figured I would let all the blogging world know (or the very few people that actually care to look at my blog) that I have an addiction!

Before I got married I was nervous that because we wouldn't have cable that I would miss out on all my shows. Boy was I wrong! I realized that the majority of the shows I watch are on ABC and CW, and OF COURSE they have to bring an even better fall line up this year then in the past! So.... I have added a few more to my list.

SUNDAY:

Something is always goin down on Wisteria Lane. I have watched this show from the very first season, so I can't stop now!

I have loved this show forever! I'm actually really liking this season eventhough Peyton and Lucas are gone. They started to get really boring last season! All the new characters are great and love their drama!

TUESDAY:

I watched this show back in the day all the time! So I thought why not try the "new version"? It's actually pretty good!

WEDNESDAY:

One of my all time favorites! I just can't get enough! So glad they are doing a FALL season!

Dani, Court, and I have been best friends since High School. We have all done and been through so much together. Dani was the last of us to get married. Her and Ty tied the knot on Sept. 3rd. It was a beautiful day and everything turned out perfect! I'm so glad I got to experience the beautiful sealing that they had. It's so fun that all of us have gotten married within 6 months of each other. I couldn't ask for better friends.

I have a beautiful new Niece!! Kamryn was born on Aug. 12 weighing a little over 8lbs. She is so cute!! She has reddish brown hair just like her mommy!! Congrats Tyson and Kara. It's so fun to finally see pink in their house. (They have 2 boys!!) There are only 2 other girls out of my Now 10 nieces and nephews!! Bring on some more girls!!

Dani's Getting Married!!

A couple weeks ago I had a Tea Party/Bachlorette Party for Dani! It was so fun to see all of our girlfriends from high school. It's sad cuz the only time we ever get to see eachother is at weddings or baby showers. Soon enough all of these girls will be married and then we wont see each other very much at all. Hopefully that will change. It is things have never changed when you get all us girls together. We have such a fun time and laugh so much. The party turned out so fun and so cute! Thank you to my mom and Kari (Dani's sister) for all the help. Dani gets married in a little over a week and I'm so excited for her to join the club!!

AMERICAN IDOL TOUR CONCERT!!

Last night Dani and I went to the American Idol Concert!! It was one of my favorite concerts I have been to!! Dani won the tickets on the radio and invited me to go with her!! I'm so glad that she invited me! We had awesome seats and very entertaining performers..for the good and bad!! We had many laughs throughout the concert, but it made it even more entertaining! I am not an avid American Idol watcher, so I didn't know who all the performers were, but because they sing some many different popular songs we were able to sing along with most of them!

Highlights:
Lil Round singin"Single Ladies" and strutin' her best Beyonce moves!! She was very fun to watch!!

Anoop singing "My Perrogative" The boy has got some moves and also a voice!!

Scott is amazing at the piano and I enjoyed hearing him sing "1000 Miles" by Vanessa Carlton

Matt also rocked out on the Piano and sang some great songs!!

Allison Rocked Out! She is a total Rock Star! I have to admit, my throat was hurting just listening to her belt out some of those songs!! Very entertaining!!

Danny oh Danny Boy! I really enjoyed his set!! He sang some Rascal Flatts songs! Including "What Hurts the Most" and "My Wish"

Then there was Kris!! This guy is just AMAZING!! I loved all of his stuff especially "Hey Jude"

Low of the Night:
MEGAN- hahahaha... Wow this girl is awkward. It hurt to watch her on stage. Yes she has a pretty face, but to watch her dance and sing. Ouch!

and then Adam Lambert- ok the guy can sing and is a good performer! I'll give you that, but the crotch grabbing and whipping of the hair and lunges were not doing it for me. It was a little too feminine looking to me. I did enjoy his set, but had some great laughs as he stripped off his coat and danced around.

New York City!

Last week I had the awesome opportunity to go to New York with 2 other girls from the salon for some advanced academy classes. We got drawn out of all the girls at the salon to go. At first we were supposed to go to Cancun and go to the Tigi Hair show, but because of the swine flu break out, they cancelled it and sent us to New York instead. We took the red eye Sunday night and got there at about 11 AM Monday morning. We had class on Tues and Wed. and came home Friday afternoon. Since the class was only 2 days we got to play a lot. It was so fun and was the first time all of us had been there. We did a lot of shopping and saw 3 Broadways/plays and some sight seeing! It was fun to take the subway for the first time. I would never be able to drive there.. people are crazy driver and walkers. Kinda scary! The classes were great and I learned some awesome new techniques for coloring and cutting. My favorite thing was probably Central Park. It is so beautiful and green and there is so much you can do there. We saw Mary Poppins and it was such a good Broadway show! We loved it. We also saw one called Rock of Ages.. it's kinda like Mamma Mia but it is all 80's songs from Journey, Styx, Pat Benedar, and others. That was fun too!!

Well it's official!! Mike and I tied the knot! The day was beautiful and everything was perfect! Here are a few pictures to show until I have the time to write about everything! I am still alive! My mom got a new MAC computer for Christmas and for some reason I can't upload any pictures onto my blog and I really dont wanna take the time to figure it out, so this will be a boring post. These last few months have been so fun and busy!

To start off.. March.. one of my best friend's Courtney Scurr got married to her best friend Landon Fowler! I am so happy for them and I love Landon! I was fortunate enough to get to know him really well when I was living in Utah! Congrats!

Along with all her wedding fun I have been planning mine and working! I think that was all the big news for March!

April.. The first weekend in April my friends through me a little bridal shower! It was so fun to see all my girl friends from high school and all their babies! Yes I said babies! A lot of them have had babies the last few months and they are so cute! I love getting together with those girls and hope to more often!

Then I had my family and ward bridal shower! So many people came and I got some awesome stuff! Thank you to everyone that helped and came! It was a blast and turned out perfect!

Last Friday Mike and I took our pictures down at the temple! It was so fun to get all dressed up and see Mike in his Tux! He looked so handsome! The wind picked up pretty bad but hopefully it worked to our advantage! I can't wait to get them all back!

This week... It's finally here! Down to 5 days! I can't believe it! It still doesnt seem real yet! But I guess that is better than being all stressed and out of control, so hopefully I will stay this way! I started packing up all my stuff to move and that was pretty crazy, but fun! Thurs. I go through the temple and I am so excited! I'm so grateful to have such wonderful family and friends to share this exciting time with! Friday is the dinner and then the day is finally here!! April 18 I will officially be ANGIE DRAUGHON!! YAY!! Hope you all will come Party with us that night!

Oh and last Saturday my other best friend Dani got engaged to her love Ty Porter! I'm so happy for them!! :) Now all of our little 3 sum will be married come Sept. 3!!

We got to spend a day at the salon and Perm Makenna's Hair!

2008 Has come and gone in the blink of an eye. I can't believe how fast the year went! It was a great year and I spent the last couple weeks of it with my favorite people!! :) Christmas was wonderful this year. Mike and I were able to spend a lot of time with both of our families. Christmas Eve I went with Mike over to his sister Karen's house. We ate pizza and watched the kids play a game, do a talent show, and spent good time with his family. Then I dashed over to my house in time for dessert and the kids talent show and for them to act out the nativity. We of course have the Christmas PJ tradition so we opened those also. I'm so impressed by all mine and Mike's nieces and nephews talents! This year all of my brothers and sister and their kids spent the night at my parents house so we were together Christmas morning! It was so fun to be with the little kids and see how excited they were for "SANTA". Christmas morning was spent with my family and Mike came over after presents. We then went and saw "Bedtime Stories" with his family later that day. Mike and I also got to go see many other movies during the little break. So if you need opinions on any of them, just ask! The day after Christmas we went to Amazing Jakes with my family and had a grand ol' time! New Years came and went like that! Mike's brother from Utah came down with 3 of his kids so we were able to spend a lot of time with his family then. We went to peter piper, hiking at usary pass, and to see a movie with the adults! I also got to catch up with some of my girl friends from high school, which some I haven't seen since then. It was a good time!

I'm so thankful for this time of year and for the time I was able to spend with both of our families! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday too! 2008 was great but I have a feeling 2009 will be even better! Can't wait to see what it brings! ;)

Well I know I'm such a slacker! I need to blog more often and I really don't have any excuse as to why I just don't do it. Nothing too exciting has happened in the last few months. My days consist of going to work, hopefully going to the gym, and sleeping. Occasionally hanging out, but mostly just on the weekends.

In Sept. I went camping with Mike and his family. It was a great time. This is his niece Ellie! She got into the Oreos! :)

Oct. was my bithday! We went bowling with friends and then Mike made me dinner and spent the rest of the night watching movies!

As you can tell Mike really likes to take pictures! :)

Finally got him to smile! Only cuz it was my Birthday!!

We had a photoshoot at work and they had some of the sylists as the models. I was one of the lucky ones to be picked!

That night we went out to Olive Garden for my birthday with my Family! Me and Drewser Bug had matching hair!

Then Halloween came, I didn't actually dress up on Halloween, but did dress up for a birthday party.

We looked so Hot! haha. I know you all wish you could look this good! ;)

Ok so I guess I have been up to a few things, but still feels like all I do is work, work, work. I'm looking forward to Christmas and the New Year! Maybe my New Year's resolution will be to be a better blogger!?!?

I was able to spend a wonderful relaxing week at the beach house in San Clemente! It was a very nice way to end the summer! We did a little bit of shopping and were BEACH BUMS the rest of the time! It was wonderful! It was fun to spend time with my sister and her family for a week. I don't get to see them more than a weekend every few months because they live in Prescott. These kids are so much fun!

This is my "mini me" Makenna. It's so fun because we are they same years apart and Brandi and I. Brandi says I was exactly like her when I was her age. Always looked up to my big sister and wanted to be just like her! Now Makenna likes to be just like me!

These kids could boogie board all day long! The little boys had no fear at all, I think Brandi and I were more scared for them then they were! They kept us on our toes!

So I know its been a long while! Sorry Im not so good at this, but not many people look at it so its ok. I have been doing great. Staying busy working and trying to have a social life. I am finally going to be done assisting the end of this month and will be going on and having my own chair the beginning of Sept. so if you need your hair done come see me! :) I have had a pretty good summer got to go to the lake a few times and took a short trip with friends to San Diego and got to go hike Camelback Mtn. and hangout with my boyfriend Mike! :) I'll post some random pictures to show you what I've been up to.

Road Trip to Cali!

Over President's Day a few girls from the salon and I took a quick but much needed trip to Cali. We left bright and early Sunday morning and went to Hollywood and LA. We had to stop at the outlets on the way but found nothing good and then stopped at the Fashion District in LA. I'm not quite sure why it's called the Fashion District when it is just like Mexico. I felt like I was in Rocky Point at the dirt mall, but it was still fun! After the fashion district we went to Hollywood and the Chinese Theatre! It was a fun day! On Monday we went to Six Flags and then drove home that night! I'm glad I work at a salon where there is no drama and we all get along pretty well!

New Year!

Well it's 2008! Wow, I can't believe it! Oh how time flies! I'm hoping this year will be exciting and full of adventure! haha! Christmas was great! My mom and dad and I went up to my sister's in Prescott. It was fun to be with the kids Christmas morning! I must have been a good girl this past year cuz Santa was really nice to me this year! My favorite thing I got was a plane ticket to go to Hawaii in April with all of the adults in my family! I'm so excited! It will be so fun! I got a week off of work from the salon but it seemed like I had a lot to do, so it wasn't very relaxing! It was fun to spend time with family and friends though! New Years was pretty fun! Went to Amazing Jake's with Court, Dani and Ty. I have come to the conclusion that New Years is a pretty over rated holiday. haha It was still fun though! Other than that I am back at work and haven't been doing much!

So things are going great right now! I am very happy! Started working at Hair Do and loving it so far! I'm also still working for my dad and brother so my weeks are pretty draining! My wonderful friend Dani took full advantage of me being single again and we had a great weekend my first weekend back on the town! I don't really have any pictures to show right now so I thought I would throw some random ones up for fun! Hope you enjoy!

"TIME OUT"

This last weekend the Girls in my family all went to "Time Out". It was held at the Phoenix Civic Plaza. We had a great time! The speakers were amazing and I learned a lot. They had some musical performers that I really enjoyed also! We all ended up buying some sort of CD or book! It was fun to spend time with just the girls! Me, Brittney, Kara, Brandi, and my Mom!

Thursday Night Kara, Brittney, one of my best friends Dani, and I all went to the RASCAL FLATTS concert. They are by far my favorite band EVER! This was my third time seeing them in concert and I think it was the best one so far! Their new CD is going to be amazing!

I kinda slacked on the cowboy gid up but next time I will be decked out! We had a great time enjoying the concert and watching the couple in front of us! They put on quite a good show! :)

This is the song "Take Me There" it's on their new album coming out! I know this video doesn't sound that great cuz you can hear everyone else singing, but I just thought I would give an idea how AMAZING it was!
